The bible, the worlds most widely sold book. A wonderfull book, full of poetry, wisdom, history, prophesies, communicating God's eternal love and forgiveness to men. The bible has critics, but especialy lots of believers and admirors, certainly among those who actually read and study it!
So why not read and discuss it yourself?
DISC therefore offers two type of bible courses: (three) basic courses for those who know very little about this book, and an advanced course for those who want to learn more and grow in their faith. All courses provide the opportunity to learn more about Christian faith and its holy book, the bible.

Understanding the bible
In this course you'll learn about the history and the authors of the bible, and about the main content of this widely read book.
This course takes four evenings, excluding one introduction night.

The 'I am...' studies
Who is (or was) Jesus? Good question indeed!
It's a sound approach to start by looking closely at what he teached about himself!
Several times we read Jesus saying: "I am...". For instance "I am the bread of life" or "I am the way, the truth and the life". We'll have a look at some of these passages, and discuss their meaning. Because we'll also watch parts of the DVD "the life of Jesus", the study is lively indeed.

Basic course 3: ...
Unto full stature
This is a course for students who are a Christian, and want to grow towards a mature Christian life.
We'll start with God's vision for His creation, and it's a step by step approach through various phases of our natural and spiritual maturity.
Topics in this course include perspective on God's vision, finding one's destiny, the adequacy of the Holy Spirit, freeing your will unto obedience of God, God's glory manifest in our body, the right place for our emotions in ourselves, in relationships and in expression, learning our mind to cooperate with the Spirit, fulfilling Father's delight.
The course is held on the friday evenings, weekly. Drinks are ready at 19.45, and study starts at 20.00. No costst involved. Feel free to join in!
